San Raffaele Hospital trigeneration plant

The trigeneration plant of the San Raffaele hospital dedicated to the production and distribution of electricity, thermal energy and cooling energy is expanded to accommodate a new engine which will integrate the existing system.

The construction of the new pavilion dedicated to the surgical and emergency center of the San Raffaele hospital has determined the need for a significant upgrade of the existing trigeneration plant given the increase in volumes to be served. Our studio was responsible for the construction management of the plant consisting of two high temperature geothermal heat pumps for a total power of 7 MWt, four cogeneration engines for a total power of approximately 16 Mwe, compression and absorption (single and double stage) for a power of approximately 35 MWf, 4 high efficiency boilers and low polluting emissions for approximately 50 MWt. There are also 12 evaporative towers for dissipation and all the auxiliary systems for electrical, hydraulic distribution, regulation and control.
